POLYMERSHAPES COMPLETES ACQUISITION OF THE PLASTICS FABRICATION DIVISION OF ECS ENTERPRISES, INC

CHARLOTTE, NC —August 2, 2019 – Polymershapes LLC today announced the successful completion of its acquisition of the plastics fabrication division of ECS Enterprises, Inc, a privately held company located in Concord, NC, a suburb of Charlotte, NC.

Serving the Charlotte market and beyond for over 20 years, ECS has a strong history in the display, retail and business interior fixtures industry. ECS employs a highly-trained and knowledgeable team of machinists, operators, designers, fabricators, assemblers, project managers, and consultants to sustain product quality and meet stringent deadlines.

“All of us at ECS Enterprises, including Shana, Cliff III and myself are excited about this new evolution of our plastics fabrication division. Due to the changing climate in our industry, we have been looking for the right company to partner with that would allow us to grow our plastics fabrication division to the next level,” said ECS owner Cliff Sult, Jr. “We are excited about the opportunity to work with Polymershapes and help grow their business by offering value-added services. I am personally excited to be coming full circle, back to the distribution side of the business, where I started my career in plastics 37 years ago.”

ECS Enterprises’ metal machining division will continue operations as a standalone business under the ownership and direction of Cliff Sult Jr, who will also take on the role of Business Development Manager at Polymershapes.

“I am extremely excited for the ECS team to join the Polymershapes family,” said Rick Gough, President of Polymershapes. “Cliff and his team have an outstanding reputation for their dedication to value-add capability leadership, and a strong history of customer service in the Charlotte market. We look forward to them joining our existing Charlotte team, and enhancing our service offering to our customers.”

The acquisition of the ECS plastics fabrication division is a broad expansion of capabilities for Polymershapes’ Charlotte, NC location. In addition to cut-to-size capabilities, the 40,000 square foot facility will now feature CNC routing, laser cutting, die cutting, heat bending, cold bending, diamond and flame polishing, and finished fixture assembly in a clean-room environment. Gough continued, “From the day I met Cliff, his family, and team, I felt the synergies with our business model. The ECS team has a strong entrepreneurial spirit and are a great cultural fit with Polymershapes. I am confident they will flourish as part of Polymershapes, and continue to bring value to both our customers and suppliers.”
