HIPS Material

HIPS MaterialApplications in which HIPS material is the best solution are applications that require a tough, impact resistant plastic that is low cost, and easy to machine. Call 1-866-437-7427 to order HIPS Material, High Impact Polystyrene sheet from Polymershapes. We stock the standard stock sizes of HIPS material, and custom sizes can be ordered and cut to your specifications. Natural HIPS material is FDA compliant for use in food processing related industries.

High Impact Polystyrene sheet, HIPS material, is a budget friendly thermoplastic material that is frequently found in lower heat applications. It is very easy to fabricate with and tends to be used in low strength settings where cost is a factor. It can be guillotine cut, die-cut, punched, and formed. It can be glued, painted, and because of its low cost, it’s usually a good option for pre-production prototyping. HIPS Material is easy to thermoform and is fully recyclable with minimal loss of its properties.

Printable HIPS Material grades are available and can be printed using methods such as offset lithography, screen-printing, and digital printing. Used extensively throughout the graphic arts for the production of signs and POP displays, HIPS material is commonly used as a substrate to mount graphics such as plotter vinyls and films.

Polymershapes, leader among plastic distributors, is equipped and ready to help you outshine your competition. We have partnered with the most trusted brands of HIPS material including
DIGI-HIPS® and Spartech.
